Why subscribe to my Substack? Give me a second…

First, posting my views online is a healthy avocation, a release, actually. I enjoy the process, especially when the final product results in connecting with critical thinkers from all walks of life. We may not always agree, but we must listen to each other. Dialogue can not only save relationships, but end wars, sometimes before they start.

Decades ago, a career in broadcast journalism was a viable expectation, until life got in the way, the way it does for most of us – love, war, family commitments, career moves, the full gamut. But I’ve always written. And just like my affinity for baseball and dogs, it keeps me somewhat sane, and so far, so good.

Secondly, if you’re still reading, you can rest assured everything I post has been fully sourced. Simple Journalism 101.

More About the Author

Two degrees earned in Psychology and Broadcast Communications were a colossal waste of time, except for a 2S draft deferment that didn’t last as long as I thought it would. Who would have thought?

Following six years in Naval Aviation, I spent over 30 years as an air traffic controller, with a final gig as a Watch Supervisor at the FAA’s Emergency Operations Center in Washington, D.C.
