It's important to watch Hamdi's interview to get a full sense of why he and others so passionately urge voting 3rd party. My take from his interview is that many Arab-Americans and Muslims have decided the best thing strategically is to electorally punish AIPAC in order to remove its aura of invulnerability and omnipotence in the electoral arena. They see that as a long-term strategy with impacts in subsequent elections, not just this one, when Congressional candidates can stop fearing the AIPAC juggernaut coming into their district or state with deadly force in the next primary. That's what I got from his interview and it makes sense if the AIPAC/US genocide is your central issue -- be you Muslim, Arab-American or unaffiliated peace and justice activist. Yes, the election is important, but so will be the next many years of political activity that has nothing to do with elections -- being in the streets and not being afraid to do more than we've done before.

Exactly, Mike. AIPAC is the cancer at the guts of this issue, and our gutless, greedy Congress (with the one exception of Thomas Massie...yes, just one) succumbs to its every whim. US complicity is heart wrenching and it will be a long-term, courageous commitment to clean it up.

Hamdi's emotional rebuke from 1:08 on is a tough view.

"As usual, genocide rarely moves the needle" will be inscribed on the tombstone of the USA.

I just left a comment on reporting about a debate between my state's Sen. Angus King ("Independent") and his D & R opponents:

An entire debate without any mention of the militarism bleeding our economy dry (about 2/3 of each year's federal budget voted on by Senator King) or the two hot wars currently running? No one challenged King on the U.S.-Israel genocide in Gaza now spreading rapidly to Lebanon, Iran, Syria, and Yemen? No role for the U.S. Senate in stoking -- or preventing -- WW3?

Well, you can't go there, Lisa. Our district warmongering Dem spent most of his time lauding his efforts to stop opioid addiction in our state.

Great article Gene! Harris's record and "platform" sound to me like a Nikki Haley/Bush/Cheyney fever dream, while Trump tries to keep up the neo-conning with his Lyndsay Graham-esque 'lets pre-emptive strike Iran.' For me a vote for Stein is a vote against the entrenched war machine that converts the souls of the innocent into dollar signs to be pumped back into the pockets of the capital class and the politicos. OUR tax dollars will continue to be funneled into the abyss in Ukraine and the weapons manufacturers whose 'products' have caused the deaths of tens (hundreds?) of thousands of Palestinians, and hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians. These atrocities, which we as a nation, are funding and enabling is wiping out entire generations from this planet. It is a tragedy that this is happening in real time and yet the questions being asked are whether Trumps McDonalds charade was staged (duh?) or if Harris is wearing headphone earrings. While we sit here in the USA deciding our plans for the holidays, our government is slowly puppeteering the attempted collapse of Russia and the end of the Putin era (remember EuroMaidan 2013/14?) and the Aleppo-esque destruction of Gaza. Neither Neo-Con Harris nor Neo-Con Trump deserve your vote. I do not care about owning the libs or snowflakes, I do not care about Kamala Harris' being a woman or being brat, I care about the fact that the lives of hundreds of thousands of people were ended due to the greed of the war machine and the incompetence (or evil) of the diplomats and politicians of this country. Fuck Harris and Fuck Trump :) Stein/Ware 2024
